Built in 1903, The Postmark is a historical landmark in the town of Chillicothe. The building was constructed to serve as the official post office starting in 1907 until 1966 when the building was transformed into a banquet hall.
The Postmark is Chillicothe’s premier wedding & event venue. Located in the heart of downtown, this southern Ohio event center itself makes a grand statement for locals and out-of-town guests alike.

Our historic and modernized building is a staple in the heart of downtown Chillicothe, where letters once flowed for the former capital of Ohio.
With the building being built and used as a former United States Post Office, it has some incredible features that can be incorporated into your event.
Here’s how The Postmark can add some unique flair to your big day:
• Enjoy a cocktail of choice served to you through the former customer service windows where mail once passed through and traveled around the world.
• Leave your stamp, the beginning of your new journey as a couple, by signing one of the two vintage safes in the building that formerly used to hold valuables and special pieces of mail, but now holds special memories and wishes from all the couples that have tied the knot at The Postmark over the years.
Foyer
In the building’s original design as a post office, the foyer was the only area accessible to the public. The foyer boasts a stunning historic architectural design, with towering ceilings and a grand staircase.
We recommend the foyer for cocktail hour or small wedding ceremonies. We use the original marble staircase for a first look

Main Hall
Originally used as the workspace for postal workers, the main hall has been transformed into a stunning event space with large windows and high ceilings.
With the capacity to seat 175 guests plus a dance floor, we recommend the main hall for wedding receptions and other large events. The main hall can also be partitioned for smaller events. Several different room layouts are available, and we’d love to help you find the perfect arrangement!
The Bridal Suite
Our bridal suite is spacious enough for even the largest bridal parties! With plenty of natural light and a wall of built-in mirrors for hair & makeup, you and your closest girls will have the time of your life relaxing and celebrating on your wedding day. You will be able to safely store your things away from your guests for the entirety of your wedding rental, with plenty of space to move around and get ready. We know you’ll love it!

The Groom’s Lounge
Our groom’s lounge is located in the basement, far away from bridal suite but close to the party. We have transformed it into the perfect hideaway for your groom and his groomsmen, with a big-screen TV for entertainment, comfy (but classy) furniture. You are just as big of a part of the special day and we want you to feel like the king you are.
