I enjoy getting to know my couples, so I send out a quick get-to-know-you questionnaire so I can better connect with the couples I’m serving. I love to hear their stories, to learn how they met, their engagement story, family history, and every wedding detail! Most brides love to talk about their weddings, and I love to hear it all! I also look for ways to connect with every couple so they know they will be taken care of at The Postmark, and so they can relax and enjoy their wedding day.
One of the first couples I got to serve at The Postmark was Lacy and Zach from Grove City, Ohio. They have allowed me to share a snapshot of their story with you. We had some unique connections right away. When we discussed vendors, I was excited to learn that I already knew their photographer, Sarah. At the rehearsal, we discovered that we attended the same church! What a small world!
They got married amid COVID, so we had to be flexible and creative to ensure that we were following the guidelines that were forever changing. They embraced the challenges with a great attitude and sought to make their wedding day everything they wanted.
Here is some of their story:
How Did You Meet? We met while working together at a summer job during college. We were servers for a dine-in movie theater.
How Long Have You Been Together? Since July 2014, just less than six years before we got engaged.
What Is Your Ideal Date? We love dinner and dates to the zoo.
How Did The Proposal Go? He decorated my parent’s house one evening during Christmas. He put up pictures of us throughout the first floor and had lights strung up inside. When I got there, I was greeted by a path of rose petals.
Where Do You Plan To Go For Honeymoon? Hawaii, if the pandemic allows us to.
Lacy and Zach said “I do” on a Saturday in September of 2020. It was a beautiful fall day! They had an intimate ceremony that we held in the entryway of The Postmark. A staircase ceremony on the marble floors with 75 of their favorite people was perfect!
