Unique Wedding Venue in Ohio

Unique Wedding Venue That

Provides A

Unforgettable Wedding

Experience

The Postmark is a modern and unique wedding venue in Southern Ohio. The venue boasts a personality with historic attributes and a classic look. This unique wedding venue, located in the heart of downtown Chillicothe, is a one-of-a-kind event center that will have your guests raving about your wedding for years to come.

These are the top 5 features that make The Postmark such a unique wedding venue and why it’s perfect for your wedding ceremony and reception.

  1. The Postmark Is a

    Historic Landmark

Built in 1903, the building was constructed to serve as a United States Post Office from 1907 until 1966 when the building was transformed into a banquet hall. This southern Ohio wedding venue makes a grand statement for locals and out-of-town guests alike. Within the quaint town of Chillicothe, a wedding at The Postmark offers a small-town setting but provides a big city, modern, luxury experience.

2. The Grand Marble Staircase

In the building’s original design as a post office, the foyer was the only area accessible to the public. The foyer boasts a stunning historic architectural design, with towering ceilings and a grand staircase.

This feature draws our couples in because there are so many possibilities. The staircase leads to a 3rd floor where the bride and her group can get ready in their private suite. The staircase is loved by photographers because of the many photogenic opportunities. If the couple desires a first look or first touch, it’s the perfect place for the bride to make a dramatic entrance by descending the grand staircase to meet her groom.

We recommend the beautiful entryway and foyer for cocktail hour or small wedding ceremonies. We use the original marble staircase for your first look. However you choose to use it, it’s sure to wow your guests as soon as they walk inside!

3. Customer Service

Windows

The Postmark can add some unique flair to your big day by allowing your guest to enjoy a cocktail of choice served to them through the former customer service windows. This was where mail once passed through and traveled around the world.

Because of the iron grid windows, couples love to have their wedding licenses signed here to seal the new “I dos” that were exchanged here. This unique feature can’t be found in a normal wedding venue.

4. Vault

All of our couples get to enjoy part of The Postmark trademark of leaving their stamp, by signing one of the two vintage safes in the building that formerly used to hold valuables and special pieces of mail. Now it holds special memories and wishes from all the couples that have tied the knot at The Postmark over the years.

The second vault is used for our bar area, where we display your drinks of choice for your guests to enjoy. This safe creates a unique bar experience for your guests. You can’t find anything like it anywhere else in Ohio.

5. Inspector Gallery

Originally used as the workspace for postal workers, the main hall is now used for wedding receptions and large events. One of the cool features that the unique building has is a tunnel system that the former postmaster used to watch over the workers. He looked down on them from above! Ask us about it.

Now the main hall has been transformed into a stunning event space with large windows and high ceilings. It has the capacity to seat 175 guests plus a dance floor. Several different room layouts are available, and we’d love to help you find the perfect arrangement for your perfect day!
